Would you like to be involved in the studies that could help shape the future of healthcare?
What is research?
Research in Primary Care or in your GP surgery is used to help make healthcare solutions or services better. As patients come into the Practice with a wide range of needs and symptoms, there is lots of opportunity to conduct studies with large groups of people.
Trials could include providing medical samples or tests, they may also involve questionaries or interviews.
One of the key principles of the NHS is to improve the current and future health of the population through a commitment to innovation and the promotion, conduct and use of research.
The NIHR was established in 2006 to create a health research system in which the NHS supports outstanding individuals, working in world-class facilities, conducting leading-edge research focused on the needs of patients and the public. For more information, visit https://www.nihr.ac.uk/
