PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP (PPG) MEETING MINUTES

Item 1: Welcome / introduction for new PPG members
- Introductions & welcome to new members.
Item 2: Review Action Points from last meeting
- Action points from last meeting reviewed
- PPG members interested in the role of Chair to nominate themselves. Nominations accepted via email at SJWMP.PPG@nhs.net, in writing, or by telephoning the practice to speak to PW/MMCD.
- SJWMP to arrange PATCHS IT session with BG when 10 patients have signed up. The group shared user tips for accessing PATCHS. DL asked if there was any suggestions from Staff that could improve how Patients contact the Practice using PATCHS to help streamline the process. Feedback from Reception team to be arranged with Reception Manager and the feedback will be presented in the next meeting.
Action Points:
- PPG to revisit Chair position nominations later this year
- SJWMP to arrange PATCHS IT session with BG when 10 patients have signed up.
- Feedback from the Reception team on how Patients could help streamline the PATCHS process
Item 3: Patient feedback from Q4
- MMCD explained the sources of the feedback and presented the collated feedback from Q4.
- MMCD explained the Patient Feedback Action Plan and the group agreed on action points to be actioned by SJWMP and reviewed as part of the Patient Feedback Action Plan. The agreed action plan will be shared with the group and made available on the Practice website and in the waiting area. BG will be taking over the feedback and will present the collated information for the next quarter at the next PPG meeting. MMCD/PW to provide feedback to BG to be reviewed when it is available.

- MMCD/PW to share the updated Patient feedback Action Plan with group, on the Practice website and in the waiting area

Item 4: Breast Screening Education Event
- MMCD presented the patient feedback form the event. SJWMP are trying to arrange more education event going forward. MMCD will contact the Bowel Screening Team to try and arrange a guest speaker for the next event. SR to contact guest speakers to explore online sessions that could potentially be added the website.

Item 5: Newsletter
- SR updated the group that the Practice are unable to add a Myth busting section to each version of the Newsletter. The Spring Newsletter has been added to the website and patients can get a hard copy at Reception. The Practice aim to create a newsletter on a quarterly basis, the group can provide and ideas, feedback or suggestions to SJWMP.PPG@nhs.net.
Item 6: Confidentiality Agreement Update
- SR thanked the group for returning the Confidentiality Agreement.
Item 7: AOB
- All present members have agreed to share their contact details with the CQC for Practice Feedback. SR will pass members contact information on to the CQC.
- HCL are not currently able to support with hybrid meetings. Until this can be resolved meetings will be face to face at SJWMP.
